How to install addons in Blender

    Addons can be downloaded from the official Blender store here.

    Download and save the addon to your computer.

    To install most addons in Blender. Drag and drop the zipped file directly on to the Blender desktop.

Alternative Method

  • Download the Add-on: Ensure you have the .zip file (do not unzip it).
  • Open Preferences: Open Blender and navigate to Edit → Preferences.
  • Navigate to Add-ons: Click the Add-ons tab on the left sidebar.
  • Install: Click the Install... button at the top right.
  • Select File: Locate the .zip file and click Install Add-on.
  • Activate: Search for the add-on and check the box to enable it.
